Pene Pati makes his anticipated debut at the Canadian Opera Company as Rodolfo in Puccini’s tragic love story, La bohème, alongside Blaise Malaba as Colline, making his North American debut. The production, directed by Tony Award-winner John Caird, also features Amina Edris as Mimì. Performances open on 6 October under the baton of Jordan de Souza and run from 8 to 28 October.

After his acclaimed first performances as Rodolfo in Puccini’s La bohème at Théâtre des Champs-Elysées under Lorenzo Passerini, the role continues to take centre stage in Pene Pati’s coming seasons.

With a role and company debut for Blaise Malaba as Colline, he continues this season as Zuniga in the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden’s new production of Carmen under Sir Antonio Pappano and joins the cast of both Turandot and Rigoletto on ROH’s tour to Japan.
