American tenor Issachah Savage kicks off his new season in excellent company, joining Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra under conductor Sebastian Weigle for Mahler’s moving farewell to life Das Lied von der Erde. The performance takes place on 28 September at Bergen’s beautiful Grieghallen. 

It’s an epic season for Savage who not only enjoys concert appearances with Dallas Symphony Orchestra and Fabio Luisi, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and Nathalie Stutzmann, Chicago Symphony Orchestra and James Conlon and Houston Symphony Orchestra and Juraj Valčuha, but also returns to Théâtre du Capitole Toulouse for an anticipated debut as Kaiser in Strauss’ epic Die Frau ohne Schatten from 25 January to 4 February.
