Pierre-Laurent Aimard joins Concerto Budapest Orchestra under the baton of Andras Keller for their upcoming tour of the UK and Ireland performing Bartók’s Piano Concerto No.3 at Guildford G Live on 13 September, London’s Cadogan Hall on 14 September, Cheltenham Town Hall on 15 September, Usher Hall in Edinburgh on 17 September and the National Concert Hall in Dublin on 19 September.
This tour coincides with the release of Aimard’s latest album on 15 September. Recorded by Pentatone with San Francisco Symphony and Esa-Pekka Salonen, it features Bartók’s complete piano concertos, with Aimard’s performance of No.3 described by the Arts Fuse as a “real revelation”.
