Arts Partnerships & Tours bring music and voice to Europe’s summer festivals

June and July festivals for our Creative Partnerships and Tours team
Camerata RCO have a busy summer ahead but first they perform at Festival Úbeda at the Santiago Hospital Auditorium on 3 June. They play a two-part programme beginning with Nino Rota’s Nonetto, and concluding with Johannes Brahms’ Serenade No.1 Op.11.
Next up this summer, Metropole Orkest and conductor Jules Buckley perform at Bayer Festival on 4 June, teaming up with Grammy award winner and YouTube star Louis Cole.
Following their performance at Festival de Úbeda, Camerata RCO travel to Istanbul for the Istanbul Music Festival on 9 June, teaming up with Gramophone and ECHO Klassik Award winner Matthias Goerne to perform a programme of works by Schubert, Brahms, Schumann, Dvořák and Wolf at Cemal Reşit Rey Concert Hall.
Bach Collegium Japan and Masaaki Suzuki perform in not one but two music festivals in Germany with an all-Bach programme this June.
First they head to Musikfest Stuttgart for a Bach chamber music concert on 16 June, including Chromatic Fantasia and Fugue performed on the harpsichord by Masaaki Suzuki. Then the following day on 17 June, they perform Bach’s Mass in B Minor at Stuttgart’s Liederhalle, Beethovensaal, before before performing the piece again at Bachfest Leipzig where they close the festival on 18 June at Thomaskirche.
Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg under Director Gustavo Gimeno will travel to Italy this July for the Ravello Festival on 9 July. They will perform a programme of Rachmaninov, Strauss and Ravel alongside soloist Behzod Abduraimov.
Die Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen and Pekka Kuusisto team up for a Prom on 16 July, where Pekka appears as both soloist and leader, and makes his Proms debut as a conductor.
