Festival season is upon us and that means a busy Summer for our Creative Partnerships and Tours team.
On 3 June, Camerata RCO perform at Festival Úbeda at the Santiago Hospital Auditorium. They play a two-part programme beginning with Nino Rota’s Nonetto, and concluding with Johannes Brahms’ Serenade No.1 Op.11.
The Metropole Orkest and conductor Jules Buckley team up with young multi-percussionist, Grammy award winner and YouTube star Louis Cole, for an evening of glamour and groove at Bayer Festival. The concert takes place on 4 June at the Historische Stadthalle Wuppertal.
Camerata RCO join forces with one of the most distinguished baritones in today’s classical world, Gramophone and ECHO Klassik Award winner Matthias Goerne. Together, they perform prime works of German Lied tradition by Schubert, Brahms, Schumann, Dvořák and Wolf at Cemal Reşit Rey Concert Hall on 9 June, with the support of ENKA Foundation.
Gothenburg Symphony, together with Chief Conductor Santtu-Matias Rouvali and violinist Johan Dalene, head to BOZAR in Brussels on 14 June for a concert abundant with musical imagination.
Commencing with Lili Boulanger’s D’un matin de printemps, Dalene then performs Sibelius’ moving and melodious Violin Concerto. Obsessed with Finnish sagas, lakes and forests, the Finnish composer couples Nordic folk influences with a late Romantic style in this work. In Strauss’ Ein Heldenleben, Symphonic Poem, the composer orchestrates the life story of a hero in a playful and brilliant manner.
This concert is part BOZAR’s ‘Focus on Sweden’ programme of events, which is part of the activities celebrating the Swedish Presidency of the Council of the European Union from 1 January to 30 June 2023. #EU2023SE
