The Chamber Orchestra of Europe, together with conductor Robin Ticciati and violinist Lisa Batiashvili, head to Festspiel und Kongresshaus Bregenz in a programme beginning and ending with Beethoven, on 24 April. 

Commencing with Beethoven’s Concerto for Violin, the programme also includes Berlioz’s Roméo et Juliette: Scène d’amour, Jörg Widmann​’s Liebeslied für acht Instrumente (2010), and Beethoven’s Egmont. The works by Berlioz and Jörg Widmann venture into the topic of love as Janus-faced characters: both paradise and a pit of snakes.
