Timothy Ridout shortlisted for 2023 RPS Awards
26/1/2023
Congratulations to British violist Timothy Ridout for being shortlisted for the 2023 RPS Awards in the Young Artist category. His selection follows a successful 2021/22 season which saw him collaborate with bastions of the orchestral world such as the Hallé, Orchestre de Chambre de Paris and Hamburger Symphoniker amidst countless chamber commitments, performing with prestigious UK-based organisations such as the Wigmore Hall, Aldeburgh Festival, and the Delius Society, alongside the likes of Janine Jansen, Benjamin Grosvenor and Kian Soltani.
Never one to squander momentum, Timothy has continued to produce projects of wonder and intrigue throughout the 2022/23 season, curating his own programmes for viola recitals, releasing new recordings under Harmonia Mundi, and performing with the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra, BBC Symphony Orchestra and BBC Philharmonic, Frankfurt Radio Orchestra and Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center.
The RPS 2023 Young Artist Award is supported by Sir Simon and Victoria, and Lady Robey OBE. The main event will take place on 1 March at Queen Elizabeth Hall.
