Eldbjørg Hemsing joins Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Andrés Orozco-Estrada to perform Tchaikovsky’s ever-popular Violin Concerto, written and completed in only three weeks in 1878. The programme also includes Brahms’ Symphony No.2, written one year before in the summer of 1877. Concerts take place on 12 and 13 January at Oslo Concert Hall. Next month will see the release of Eldbjørg Hemsing’s album Arctic on Sony Classical, a concept album about a beautiful region threatened by climate change.
