18/11/2022
On 24 November at Sibelius Hall, Sinfonia Lahti present an evening full of music by Sauli Zinovjev alongside works which have inspired him in a concert entitled ‘FOKUS: Sauli Zinovjev’, conducted by Daníel Bjarnason.
Sinfonia Lahti perform Zinovjev’s Un Grande Sospiro and Piano Concerto with pianist Juho Pohjonen. The concert also features Sibelius’ Symphony No.7, which was the inspiration for Un Grande Sospiro- a tone poem in the mood of Edvard Munch’s painting ‘The Scream’. Works by the Ukrainian composer Valentin Silvestrov performed at Sibelius Hall are also among Zinovjev’s best memories from his youth, with Silvestrov’s Silent Music featuring in the concert as a tribute.
