A firm favourite of the South Korean audience, Christoph Poppen returns to Seoul for the third edition of the Classic Revolution Festival, which will be held between 12 and 21 August at Lotte Hall.

As Artistic Director of the Festival, he has again curated an attractive programme for this summer, with a theme on Mendelssohn and Korngold. Some of the internationally renowned artists Christoph has gathered include Clara Jumi Kang, Sunwook Kim, Taeguk Mun, Jiyoon Lee, Sumi Hwang and Helmut Deutsch. Poppen himself will conduct a symphonic concert with Gyeonggi Philharmonic Orchestra on 12 August (broadcast live on KBS Classic FM and filmed for TV and online broadcast by SBS) and on 15 August he goes back to his roots as a violinist, performing Mendelssohn’s Octet.
