Pierre-Laurent Aimard spends the coming two weeks with hr-Sinfonieorchester for a series of concerts in Germany and Belgium. On 28 and 29 April, Aimard performs Debussy’s Fantaisie pour piano et orchestra at Frankfurt’s Alte Oper under the baton of Alain Altinoglu, followed by a concert at the Philharmonie Essen on 30 April. Friday’s concert will be streamed live and broadcast on hr2-kultur live at 20:00 and on 10 May.

Aimard then brings Messiaen’s Reveil des oiseaux to the orchestra, conducted by Brad Lubman. Concerts take place at Frankfurt’s Forum N on 5 May, deSingel in Antwerp on 6 May, and Philharmonie Berlin on 9 May, with the tour finishing at Elbphilharmonie Hamburg as part of the city’s International Music Festival on 10 May.
