Kent Nagano conducts A Quiet Place with Opéra national de Paris
4/3/2022
On 9 March, Kent Nagano conducts the premiere of Leonard Bernstein’s A Quiet Place with Opéra national de Paris at Palais Garnier in a new production by Krzysztof Warlikowski. Following the opening night, performance will run until 30 March. This marks a return for Nagano to Opéra national de Paris, where he previously conducted Wozzeck, Elektra, Dialogues des carmélites, Cardillac and Werther.
After the Decca Classics release in 2018 with Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal under the baton of Nagano, he looks forward to working with Orchestre et Choeurs de l’Opéra national de Paris for the world premiere of the new orchestration and for the first time they stage a Bernstein opera.
