Jiří Rožeň to conduct Slovak Philharmonic

The Slovak Philharmonic is set to welcome Jiří Rožeň at the beginning of February. He conducts two concerts of Shostakovich’s Festive Overture, Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No.1 Winter Daydreams and is joined by Spanish pianist Leo de Maria for Prokofiev’s Concerto for Piano No.3. The performances take place on 3 and 4 February at the Slovak Philharmonic Hall.
Rožeň returns to Slovakia on 3 March to conduct Slovak Sinfonietta Žilina, performing Mendelssohn’s The Hebrides, Tchaikovsky’s The Variations on a Rococco Theme for Cello and Orchestra with Slovakian cellist Ján Bogdan, Ľubica Čekovská’s Shadow Scale and Stravinsky’s Pulcinella Suite.
