Pierre-Laurent Aimard and Tamara Stefanovich return to the Muziekgebouw to perform Messiaen’s Visions de l’Amen next week. The long-awaited recital that had to be postponed due to the pandemic will take place on 17 September and will also include the Dutch premiere of Birtwistle’s exciting Keyboard Engine.

Both artists’ seasons have got off to a flying start: Pierre-Laurent had a great success playing Ravel’s G major concerto at the BBC Proms alongside George Benjamin and Mahler Chamber Orchestra and Tamara then joined the orchestra and George as part of the Musikfest Berlin playing Stravinsky’s Mouvements as they began their tour.
