For the first time since 1979, Wiener Philharmoniker returns to Ghent Festival. Under the baton of Herbert Blomstedt, they open the Festival at St Bavo’s Cathedral on 6 September with a programme including Schubert Symphony No.8 and Bruckner Symphony No.4, a work which the Orchestra premiered in 1881.
