On 13 August, Finnish soprano Miina-Liisa Värelä makes her role and house debut as Wagner’s magnificent Isolde alongside Shenyang in his first Kurwenal for the finale of this year’s Glyndebourne Festival. In a semi-staged concert version, Tristan und Isolde is conducted by Music Director Robin Ticciati with performances at Glyndebourne until 28 August, followed by a special presentation at the Royal Albert Hall as part of the BBC Proms on 31 August, broadcast live on BBC Radio 3.
