Music Director with Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg and with Toronto Symphony Orchestra, Gustavo Gimeno celebrates the opening of the 2021/22 season with live audiences on both sides of the Atlantic. He is highly sought after as a guest conductor worldwide, return invitations this season including The Cleveland Orchestra and the Concertgebouworkest with whom he has maintained a regular relationship over several seasons. In 2021/22 he debuts with the Berliner Philharmoniker and San Francisco Symphony; and conducts Calixto Bieito’s production of Prokofiev’s Fiery Angel at Teatro Real Madrid.

Highlights of past seasons include concerts with Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks, Münchner Philharmoniker, Gewandhausorchester Leipzig, Wiener Symphoniker, Orchestre National de France, Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra, London Philharmonic Orchestra, Los Angeles Philharmonic, the symphony orchestras of Boston and Chicago, Washington’s National Symphony Orchestra, The Cleveland Orchestra and Orchestra dell’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia. As an opera conductor he continues to be invited for major titles at great houses such as the Liceu Opera Barcelona; Opernhaus Zürich; Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia, Valencia as well as Teatro Real Madrid.
