On 29 May Patricia Kopatchinskaja gives the premiere of Luca Francesconi’s new violin concerto, Corpo Elettrico, at the Casa da Musica in Porto, Portugal. Stefan Blunier conducts the Orchestra Sinfónica do Porto Casa da Música in collaboration with IRCAM, and completes the programme with Sibelius’ Symphony No.4.

The concerto is commissioned by Stiftung Bamberger Symphoniker — Bayerische Staatsphilharmonie in partnership with Casa da Música, Radio France, L’Auditori Barcelona and LA Philharmonic Orchestra, and was written for Kopatchinskaja.
