Lukáš Vondráček performs in Prague and Ostrava
4/9/2020
Lukáš Vondráček starts his 2020/21 season with concerts at the prestigious Dvořák Prague Festival where he acts as curator of the Chamber Music Series. On 9 September he performs Dvořák’s Piano Quartet No.1 and on 11 September Dvořák’s Piano Quartet No. 2, both with his music friends Josef Špaček, Pavel Nikl and Tomáš Jamník at Rudolfinum, Dvořák Hall. On 17 September they join together to play the Grand Rondeau for Piano Trio and Orchestra by Jan Václav Hugo Voříšek – a Czech composer whose music reflects the milieu of the Viennese Classical Era and above all the influence of Beethoven, who was a generation older. Lukáš Vondráček will conclude the great finale of this year’s Dvořák Prague Festival performing Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto No.2 with Czech Philharmonic under the baton of Petr Altrichter on 20 September.
Between his performances at Dvořák Prague Festival he heads to Ostrava to open the Janáček Philharmonic Ostrava concert season performing Dvořák’s Piano Concerto with Daniel Raiskin on 10 September. The concert is part of his 2020/21 Residency with Janáček Philharmonic.
