On 7 and 8 August Jean-Efflam Bavouzet returns to Festival International de Piano de La Roque d’Anthéron. He performs a selection of Beethoven sonatas alongside pianists such as Kojiro Okada, Nicholas Angelich, and Claire Désert. The festival offers the opportunity to hear Beethoven’s complete 32 piano sonatas, following the order in which they were composed with performances on the outdoor stage in Parc du Château de Florans in Provence, France.

This appearance follows Bavouzet’s recent and critically acclaimed CD release ​‘The Beethoven Connection’ which presents sonatas by Beethoven’s contemporary composers (Clementi, Dussek, Hummel, and Wölfl) to illuminate and contextualise Beethoven’s extraordinary output for piano.
