Shenyang joins Shanghai’s Music in the Summer Air Festival
22/7/2020
Shenyang joins this year’s Music in the Summer Air Festival in Shanghai in three performances featuring the works of Beethoven in recital and contemporary Chinese composer Tan Dun in concert. On 23 July, Shenyang gives two premiere performances of his specially-curated recital programme around Beethoven’s Scottish and Irish folksongs in this anticipated 250th Anniversary Year. Then on 29 July, he helps to close the Festival singing the role of the Buddha written especially for him in Tan Dun’s Buddha Passion conducted by the composer himself. Shenyang is thrilled to once more be singing live for local audiences for the first time since the Coronavirus crisis hit the globe.
These concerts will all be livestreamed on Bilibili.
