Patricia Kopatchinskaja performs two recitals with pianist Joonas Ahonen this week as Europe resumes its cultural calendar. The first is in Milan on 8 July in a socially-distanced concert at the Teatro Alla Scala, where they perform Beethoven’s ​“Kreutzer” Sonata. The concert also features Federica Lombardi (soprano), Francesco Meli (tenor) and Giulio Zappa (piano) in a programme of Verdi, Mozart and Leoncavallo arias. It will be streamed on the Scala and Corriere della Sera websites.

On 10 July, Kopatchinskaja travels to Lockenhaus Kammermusikfest, to perform a late night concert of Beethoven, Schoenberg and Webern.
