Jasper Parrott has been awarded the decoration of the Knight First Class of the Order of the White Rose of Finland (FWR K I) for his long-term commitment to Finland, achievements in enriching Finnish music life and his successful hard work in promoting Finnish artists abroad.
The official letter states:
“The statutes of the Order of the White Rose of Finland (FWR) were adopted in 1919. The President of the Republic of Finland serves as the Grand Master of the Orders and has the exclusive right to confer decorations. The decorations of the Order are conferred upon citizens who have distinguished themselves in the service of Finland. Foreign nationals may also be rewarded FWR decorations. The grounds for conferral are meritorious conduct for the good of Finland.
The City of Turku and the Turku Music Festival have, with the important support of the Finnish Embassy, made the original proposal to the Chancery of the Orders. In the proposal, we highlighted your long-term commitment to Finland, your achievements in enriching the Finnish music life and your successful hard work in promoting Finnish artists abroad. Many of our most distinguished conductors, singers and instrumentalists have the freedom to thrive thanks to you and your team.”

Jasper Parrott received the award on 22 February 2022. The medal was presented at a special event by Finnish Ambassador to the UK Jukka Siukosaari.
