Stephen Hough opens BBC and Wigmore Hall’s new concert series

On 1 June, Stephen Hough opens the BBC and Wigmore Hall’s new concert series, broadcast live from the London venue. The recital – featuring the Bach-Busoni Chaconne and the Schumann Fantasie – is one of 20 hour-long concerts taking place at 13:00 each weekday in June, broadcast on Radio 3 and BBC Sounds and livestreamed on the Hall’s website.
Hough’s recital marks the first live music broadcast on Radio 3 since 16 March. Other performers include Angela Hewitt, Benjamin Grosvenor, Iestyn Davies and Guy Johnston, with Mark Padmore and Mitsuko Uchida concluding the series with Schubert’s song cycle Winterreise.
