RICCARDO MINASI DEBUTS WITH FRANKFURT RADIO SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA
14/2/2020
Riccardo Minasi conducts the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra for the first time on 20 and 21 February at the Großer Sendesaal des hessischen Rundfunks.
The programme features two works in which the organ is the protagonist; Bach’s Keyboard Concerto in D minor BWV 1052 and Camille Saint-Saëns’ Symphony No. 3 avec orgue, with Latvian organist Iveta Apkalna. Rameau’s sumptuous orchestral suite from his last opera Les Boréades completes the repertoire performed by Minasi and the orchestra.
The rest of the month sees Minasi returning to Ensemble Resonanz in preparation of a short tour for their latest recording project of Mozart’s last three symphonies. Performances will be given at the Elbphilharmonie on 26 February, Vienna’s Konzerthaus on 1 March and the Palatin Wiesloch on 2 March.
