HARRISONPARROTT WELCOMES CANADIAN BASS-BARITONE DANIEL OKULITCH TO ITS VOCAL ROSTER FOR WORLDWIDE GENERAL MANAGEMENT
3/2/2020
We’re delighted to welcome Bass-Baritone Daniel Okulitch to our vocal roster for worldwide general management with immediate effect.
For his recent portrayal of The Protector in George Benjamin’s Written On Skin at Opéra de Montréal, Opera Canada said “Daniel Okulitch has never sounded better and his menacing sensuality pointed towards real characterization.” Following this success, Daniel will further explore Benjamin’s work in Katie Mitchell’s production of Lessons of Love and Violence when it premieres in Barcelona and Paris. In the coming season, Daniel reprises the role of Demetrius in the McVicar production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream at the New National Theatre in Tokyo and makes his house debut at Seattle Opera in the title role of Don Giovanni. This summer, he creates the role of The Master in the world premiere opera Omar by Grammy award winning singer-songwriter Rhiannon Giddens at the Spoleto Festival USA.
