On 10 November Tamara Stefanovich takes her audience on a musical journey through three centuries of ‘Études’ for piano at Milton Court Concert Hall. In three consecutive concerts she performs études from composers such as Szymanowki, Scriabin, Messiaen, Roslavets and Bartók. She also introduces her listeners to études from contemporary composers such as Vassos Nicolaou, George Benjamin, Unsuk Chin and Hans Abrahamsen. Also featured amongst this repertoire is a world premiere of an étude commissioned by the Barbican for this very occasion by Milica Djordjević.
