Klaus Mäkelä returns to The Cleveland Orchestra

Klaus Mäkelä returns to The Cleveland Orchestra to make his Severance Hall debut this week. He conducts Messiaen’s Les Offrandes oubliées, Beethoven Symphony No.7, and Prokofiev Violin Concerto No.2 with Augustin Hadelich. These concerts follow-on a few months after his debut with the Orchestra this summer at the Blossom Festival.
Next week, Klaus Mäkelä continues his Beethoven Cycle with the Tapiola Sinfonietta conducting Symphony No.5 on 25 October 2019. The programme also includes the world premiere of Un grande sospiro by Sauli Zinovjev and Gliere’s Concerto for Harp with Emmanuel Ceysson.
The Beethoven cycle with Tapiola Sinfonietta continues through this season with Symphony No.6 on 22 November 2019, Symphony No.7 on 24 January 2020, and Symphony No.8 on 27 March 2020. Full concert details are available on the orchestra’s website.
