Taking on Luca Francesconi’s second opera Quartett, Maxime Pascal and Allison Cook, who has championed the work since its creation, return to La Scala in a series of 7 performances on 2, 5, 11, 14, 17, 19, 22 October. 

This grand event marks the beginning of a very dynamic season, which for Pascal will be followed by a concert at Teatro Massimo di Palermo on 10 October with Orchestra Sinfonica Siciliana, in which he will be conducting an ambitious programme including works by Stockhausen, Rihm, Messiaen and Bartók and for Cook, one of the strongly sought after contemporary vocalists of our time, will be followed by her return to the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden for Gerald Barry’s Alice’s Adventures Under Ground.
