Back with Orchestre National de Lyon for the third time, Pierre Bleuse takes on once more David Marton’s Dido and Aeneas, remembered this time at the Ruhrtriennale on 28, 29, 30, 31 August. This theatrical adaptation of Virgil’s myth, based on Kalle Kalima’s music, brings forward remnants of Europe turned into echoes of Purcell’s opera: a relic once exhumed and made present that has now disappeared again.
