FINNISH RADIO SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA TOUR EUROPE WITH CHIEF HANNU LINTU

Embracing the new 2019/20 season, the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra embark on a four concert tour, stopping in Vienna, Bratislava, Locarno and Verona. Percussionist Martin Grubinger accompanies the orchestra on their stops in Vienna (29 September) and Bratislava (30 September) whilst violinist Elina Vähälä joins the orchestra for the remaining two concerts in Locarno (2 October) and Verona (3 October).
Led by Chief Conductor Hannu Lintu, the orchestra perform a programme consisting of Fagerlund, Berlioz, and composed especially for Grubinger, Fazil Say’s Concerto for Percussion and Orchestra which had its world premiere in Dresden in March 2019. Grubinger has previously performed the world premieres of Say’s Variations for Two Pianos and Percussion (2013) and the cantata The Bells (2014).
