HarrisonParrott returns to Salzburg Festival 2019

Patricia Kopatchinskaja returns to perform in the opening of the Salzburg Festival under the baton of Aziz Shokhakimov as well as performances later in the Festival with recital partner, Polina Leschenko and the Berliner Philharmoniker (Kirill Petrenko) for Schoenberg’s concerto.
Riccardo Minasi returns to Salzburg Festival for two matinee concerts on 27 and 28 July, in an all-mozart programme, with his orchestra, Mozarteum Orchester Salzburg.
Anne Sofie von Otter returns to the Festspiele in Barrie Kosky’s new production of Offenbach’s Orphée aux enfers, continuing to mark the composers 200th anniversary year. Singing the role of L’Opinion Publique under conductor Enrique Mazzolla, Anne Sofie is a firm favourite in Salzburg having recently appeared at the Festival as Cornelia in Giulio Cesare alongside Andreas Scholl, and as Leonora in the world premiere of Thomas Ades’ The Exterminating Angel.
Also returning is Xavier de Maistre to perform his duo project with Diana Damrau in a programme of romantic lieder for soprano and harp.
Russell Thomas returns to the Salzburger Festspiele in another Peter Sellars and Teodor Currentzis collaboration this time as Mozart’s Idomeneo, opening 27 July.
John Daszak returns to the role of Herod in Romeo Castellucci’s Salome at Salzburg Festival under Franz Welser-Möst from 25 August.
