Camerata RCO performs at the Trasimeno Music Festival
7/6/2019
This summer, Camerata RCO, the ensemble with members from one of the world’s leading orchestras, the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, travel to the beautiful surroundings of Umbria. Known as Italy’s ‘green heart’ for its medieval towns, forests and local cuisine, the 15th century Castello di Magione is a perfect fit for the ensemble.
The group is joined by founder and artistic director of the festival and renowned pianist Angela Hewitt for their 1 July performance, in a programme including Dvořák’s String Quintet No.2, Saint-Saëns’ Septet and Martinů’s La Revue de Cuisine.
It is the friendship among international musicians that makes the ensemble want to spend their summer holidays (when the orchestra is not performing) engaging in chamber music concerts around the world.
And for that, there is no better place than the Trasimeno Music Festival!
