Nearing the end of their 2018/19 season at home in Glasgow , the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra travel to Salzburg in May 2019 with Chief Conductor Thomas Dausgaard, continuing to enthral audiences wherever they go. These will be the opening concerts of the Salzburg subscription series 2019/20.
Joined by soloist Elisabeth Leonskaja, the three-night engagement sees the Orchestra perform Brahms’ Piano Concerto No.1, Elgar’s Symphony No.1, Schumann’s Piano Concerto and Bartók’s Hungarian Pictures and Concerto for Orchestra in the Große Festspielhaus in Salzburg.
