Esther Yoo joins Philharmonia and Vladimir Ashkenazy on tour

Esther Yoo joins forces once again with the Philharmonia Orchestra and Vladimir Ashkenazy on a tour of Spain and the UK. Together, they perform the Tchaikovsky and Glazunov violin concerti, both of which Esther has recorded with the Orchestra and conductor on Deutsche Grammophon.
On 24 April, they perform Tchaikovsky in Madrid’s Auditorio Nacional de Música in an evening that also hears Shostakovich’s Tenth Symphony. The concerto is repeated on 29 April, at Bedford Corn Exchange, in a programme also featuring Elgar’s Enigma Variations. The previous day, they present Glazunov at Royal Festival Hall.
Daniel Kharitonov makes his debut with the Philharmonia Orchestra in a concert at Royal Concert Hall, Nottingham on 27 April performing Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto No.1 under the baton of Vladimir Ashkenazy. This follows his performance at the Royal Festival Hall in 2017/18 season with the Royal College of Music Symphony Orchestra as part of the Philharmonia Orchestra’s large-scale ‘Voices of Revolution: Russia 1917’ series conducted by Vladimir Ashkenazy.
