Mari Eriksmoen is back home for her long-awaited role debut as Sophie in David McVicar’s Der Rosenkavalier at Den Norske Opera/​Norwegian national Opera, opening 16 March under Joana Mallwitz.

Mari last appeared with Norwegian National Opera as Pamina (Die Zauberflöte) in 2017/18, a role she performed earlier this season in Simon McBurney’s production for Dutch National Opera. Elsewhere this season she has appeared as Agilea in Handel’s Teseo conducted by René Jacobs for Theater an der Wien and further ahead she tours a new symphonic passion entitled ​“Waiting” created by Calixto Bieito for the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra and the Bergen Festival.
