Jörg Widmann starts the new year returning to the Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana with a play/​direct programme that sees his concert overture Con brio as well as his string sextet 180 beats, Weber’s first Clarinet Concerto and Mendelssohn’s Symphony No.1 performed in Lugano on 17 January. On 18 January, Jörg joins forces with The Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen and David Afkham for a performance of Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto.
