Anne Sofie von Otter stars in Barrie Kosky’s new production of Bernstein’s Candide at Komische Oper Berlin from 24 November.
Anne Sofie von Otter returns to Komishe Oper Berlin in the outrageous role of the Old Lady in a new production directed by Barrie Kosky and conducted by Jordan de Souza. The run opens on 24 November with further performances throughout the season.
Further opera highlights this season include reprising her highly-acclaimed interpretation of Marzellina (Le nozze di Figaro) for Bayerische Staatsoper, and the role of Madame de Croissy (Dialogues des Carmélites) for Royal Swedish Opera conducted by Marc Soustrot. On the concert platform, Anne Sofie gives recitals at Wigmore Hall, at Munich’s Cuvilliés-Theater and at La Monnaie as well as a US recital tour with Philharmonia Baroque including a world premiere at Lincoln Center of a work by Caroline Shaw.
