Esther Yoo reunites with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra this month to conclude her year-long residency. On 13 November Esther performs Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto, conducted by Michele Mariotti, at Cadogan Hall. Esther is the first-ever Artist-in-Residence with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and across 2018 this role included six concerto performances as well as pre-concert talks, post-concert chamber music, and outreach activity with ‘RPOResound’, working with young people with eating disorders.
Esther travels straight afterwards across the Atlantic to Tampa, Florida, where she debuts with the Florida Orchestra. Also presenting Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto, she performs three concerts under the direction of Michael Francis, on 16 November at the Straz Center in Tampa, and 17 and 18 November at the Mahaffey Theater in St Petersburg, Florida.
