Following a highly successful first week in her new position as Principal Guest Conductor of the Royal Scottish National Orchestra last week with concerts in Scotland including Glasgow’s Royal Concert Hall, Elim Chan debuts with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, teaming up with Jeremy Denk, performing Mozart’s Piano Concerto No.25. The programme for the concert at Birmingham’s Symphony Hall (8 November) also includes Dukas’ The Sorcerer’s Apprentice and Rachmaninov’s Symphonic Dances.
Elim Chan has an exciting season ahead of her including debuts with Sydney Symphony and Royal Stockholm philharmonic orchestras, BBC National Orchestra of Wales and Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen at Hamburg’s Elbphilharmonie. In the new year she will also return to the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Royal Liverpool and Rotterdam philharmonic orchestras.
