The tour then heads north to Zaragoza, where a contrasting French-Nordic programme comprising Sibelius’sScènes historiques I, Debussy’s Rhapsody No.1 for clarinet and orchestra, Hillborg’s Peacock Tales and Sibelius’s Symphony No.2 is presented at the Palacio de Congresos on 24 October. The final two concerts take place Santander (Palacio de Festivales Cantabria – Prokofiev, Copland and Sibelius’ Symphony No.2) and San Sebastián (Auditorio Kursaal – Sibelius’s Symphony No.2, Debussy, Hillborg and Prokofiev) on 25 and 26 October respectively.
