Peter Eötvös Celebrates his 75th Birthday
19/10/2018
In anticipation of his 75th birthday, Peter Eötvös conducts Orchestre de Paris on 24 October in a Hungarian diptych: two of his own works and two pieces straight from Bartok’s folklore. The French premiere of Alle vittime senza nome, dedicated to all the migrants dead at sea before being able to reach the life-saving Italian coast, will be followed by Patricia Kopatchinskaja performing Eötvös’ second violin concerto entitled DoRéMi. Two Bartók’s masterpieces, Dance Suite and The Wooden Prince complement this very special celebratory programme.
