Nikolai Lugansky returns to Orchestra National de France
12/10/2018
Nikolai Lugansky is returning to play with Orchestra National de France in two sold-out concerts in Paris on 17 and 18 October. Nikolai is set to play Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto No.2, a performance of which he is especially regarded. The performance is following a recent release of Rachmaninov’s concerti recordings by Nikolai which was released earlier this year. The programme also includes an opening from Mussorgsky’s opera Khovanshchina and Symphony No.8 by Anton Dvořák. The Orchestra is conducted by Emmanuel Krivine.
The concert will be broadcast live on October 18th at 20:00 CEST. Later, Nikolai joins the Orchestra on tour to China, appearing with Emmanuel Krivine in Zhuhai, Shanghai, and Nanjing. Highlights of the season include an American tour with recitals in Maryland and Florida, and concerts with Minnesota Orchestra and Atlanta Symphony Orchestra in February.
