5/10/2018
For his 2018/19 season, the 23-year-old Austrian conductor performed with the Orchestre de l’Opéra de Rouen Normandie on a concert tour, conducting a challenging repertoire of Haydn’s Symphony No.95, Holst’s St Paul’s Suite, Mendelssohn’s Symphony No.1 and the world premiere of Dominique Lemaître’s Le Grand Silence. This was followed by his debut with Recreation — Grosses Orchester Graz in his hometown, giving two performances at the city’s most prestigious concert hall Stefaniensaal. The concert featured an exciting programme of early German romantic music by Mendelssohn and Spohr, followed by Larsson’s Saxophone Concerto, performed by soloist Gerald Preinfalk. Hahn’s exciting new season features engagements with Gürzenich Orchestra Cologne, Dresdner Philharmonie, Bayerisches Staatsoper, Luzerner Sinfonieorchester and Wiener Symphoniker.
