Jörg Widmann begins his season with the National Symphony Orchestra, Taiwan. He joins forces with the Orchestra’s music director Shao-Chia Lü for a performance of Widmann’s own clarinet concerto Elegie on 22 September. This concert marks the beginning of Jörg’s collaboration with the Orchestra as this season’s Artist-in-Residence for which he will return for a play direct programme on 17 May 2019 which will feature a performance of Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto, Widmann’s Con brio, and Mendelssohn’s Symphony No.3.
