3/8/2018
British soprano Emma Bell makes a welcome return to Glyndebourne Festival Opera in the title role of Barber’s Vanessa. Marking the UK premiere of the work, Emma appears in Keith Warner’s new production under Jakub Hrůša from 5 August.
In the coming season, Emma Bell returns to English National Opera in Daniel Kramer’s staged version of Britten’s War Requiem, conducted by Martyn Brabbins, and returns to Deutsche Oper Berlin as both Venus and Elisabeth in Tannhäuser. Fast-becoming one of her calling-card roles, Emma sings Leonore (Fidelio) with Orquesta de RTVE, as well as Matilde in concert performances of Mascagni’s rarely-heard Silvano under Stuart Stratford.
