HarrisonParrott artists at Tanglewood Festival

This year three HarrisonParrott artists perform at the Tanglewood Festival (16 June- 2 September).
Stefan Asbury conducts three concerts at the Festival on the 23 July, 7 and 9 August. In the first concert, Asbury who was Bernstein’s last Conducting Fellow at the Tanglewood Music Center, conducts the Tanglewood Music Center Orchestra in Copland’s Symphony No.3, the last piece Bernstein conducted with the TMCO. Asbury’s second appearance is at the famous ‘Tanglewood on Parade’ festivity along with conductors John Williams, Keith Lockhart and Bramwell Tovey; and his performances at this year’s Festival conclude with Bernstein’s A Quiet Place.
Two violinists also perform at Tangelwood. On 22 July, Christian Tetzlaff performs Sibelius’ Violin Concerto with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Thomas Adès. Gil Shaham plays Prokofiev’s Violin Concerto No.1 on 29 July, with also with Boston Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Juanjo Mena.
