This week Vikingur Olafsson will take part in Gemischter Satz Festival at the Vienna Konzerthaus on 3^rd, 4^th and 5^th May, performing pieces by Philip Glass and J.S. Bach 

These concerts mark the beginning of a busy London-focused month, with recitals in Kings Place, Barbican and Wigmore on 11^th, 12^th and 27^th. The latter will be Vikingur’s debut in the milestone venue, where he will be performing a duo with cellist Istvan Vardai in a programme around major composers Bartok, Brahms and Beethoven.

Vikingur will also be taking part in Klavier-festival Ruhr at the beginning of the month and playing with Estonian National Symphony Orchestra under Kristian Jarvi, showing his interpretation of Adam’s Century Rolls (Piano concerto No 1).
