Nikolai Lugansky opens the tour in America where he performs Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto No.2 with Baltimore Symphony Orchestra with concerts on 16, 17 and 18 March under the baton of Lahav Shani. He then travels to South America, where he will give a masterclass on 19 March and a recital at Theatro Municipal do Rio de Janeiro on 20 March before travelling onto São Paulo. There, he performs Beethoven’s Piano Concert No.4 with Orquestra Sinfônica do Estado de São Paulo under the baton of Marin Alsop with concerts on 22, 23 and 24 March. He closes the tour with a recital at Teatro Bradesco in Belo Horizonte on 25 March featuring a programme of Schumann, Chopin and Rachmaninov.
