Bertrand Chamayou embarks on a tour of the Americas

Bertrand Chamayou embarks on a tour of the Americas this October. He begins this tour as soloist on the Orchestre Capitole de Toulouse’s tour through South America with stops in Buenos Aires’ Teatro Colón (23 and 25 October), Montevideo’s Teatro Solis (26 October), Sala São Paulo (29 and 31 October) and Teatro Municipal do Rio de Janeiro (30 October).
He performs Saint-Saëns’ Piano Concerto No.5 (23, 26, 29 October) and Shostakovich’s Piano Concerto No.1 both under the baton of Tugan Sokhiev, the latter together with young French trumpeter Lucienne Renaudin Vary. This comes after a successful start to the season performing as soloist with the ONCE and Semyon Bychkov, and opening London’s International Piano Series to much applaud with a solo recital at St. John’s Smith Square.
Continuing to North America, Bertrand will make his debut with Atlanta Symphony Orchestra under Jun Märkl with whom he will perform Strauss’ Burleske in three concerts on 2, 4 and 5 November, followed by two concerts with Québec Symphony under the baton of Fabien Gabel on 8 and 9 November, again performing Burleske. Bertrand will end this Americas tour with two concerts in Detroit, again with Burleske and Fabien Gabel on 18 and 19 November.
